Brief Bio
Prof. EUR ING Ray Wai Man Kong is a European Professional Engineer (EUR ING), Chartered Scientist (CSci MIST), Chartered Engineer (CEng FIMechE, CEng MIET), International Professional Engineer (IntPE-UK), Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE) and Chartered Fellow of the Textile Institute (CText FTI). He received an MSc in Automation Systems and Engineering and an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) from the City University of Hong Kong in 1998 and 2008 respectively.
He has led Broadway Precision Ltd, Eagle Nice Ltd and Blooms Technology to success, building over 21 patent rights for automated machines and instruments in China. In 2013 he served as Executive Director of Automatic Manufacturing Ltd, and in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Wah Ming Optical Factory Ltd. He is currently Modernization Director of Eagle Nice Ltd and Vice President of the CityU Engineering Doctorate Society.
His research interests focus on robotics, intelligent manufacturing, automation, maglev technology, mechanical and electronic engineering, and systems engineering for industrial factories.
